This tree was photographed at Tikal National Park. It has an interesting base. Mother's nature way to engineer robust structures.
the photograph could have looked better had it been taken from the other side or after stepping out of the canopy

@Joy: Agreed but I was trying to frame the base of the tree with the surrounding foliage. The tree base reminded me that on the CA freeways the pillars that hold the elevated road have a similar shape in order to make it "earthquake proof". Thank for your comment.
I like the content of this photo as it clearly shows what you wish to illustrate, and the overall balance of elements is pleasing.
