superbly done, fine balance of structure and the environment

@Dimitrios: Thank you very much. It was a very nice building and courtyard. I keep being disappointed at the sharpness after uploading to aminus3. The pictures are much sharper than they appear here.
wow, beautiful!

@Eleftheria!: Thanks Eeftheria, your comments are much appreciated.
It would inspire all my intellectual abilities just to look at it, what an incredible place to learn, I'd have to choose philosophy, preferably in the courtyard lol FABULOUS photo Emilio :)

@Lorraine: Thanks so much for your comments Lorraine.
Magnificent ... you've balanced the shadows and highlights beautifully! I love this architecture.

@Ron: Thank you. I did a bit of Photoshop processing on the sky and the inside of the building. The architecture is quite remarkable, specially when a few 100 km away you are confronted with the also remarkable Mayan pyramid structures.
Yes, for such a wide brightness range this is a pretty good exposure solution. Excellent composition, which makes it appear as if the viewer could simply step into the scene.

@Andrew Gould: Thank you Andrew. It was a very appealing building. As I remarked above, I continue disappointed with the lack of sharpness on the posted images. I have tried the 800 pixel width maximum but still to no avail. I need to experiment more but never find the time for it.
these beautiful arched shapes against the blue sky remind me of Dali paintings. wonderful light and exposure here!
